After more than twelve years of working within the destination wedding industry we are ready to share all of our knowledge in the setting of a medieval castle in Tuscany. I am a Tuscan-based wedding photographer with a love for Italian culture. I really enjoy the relaxed way of living, great food, good glass of wine, art and stunning surroundings. I feel lucky to be able to do what I love most in an environment that has given me so much. Green hills, vineyards, olive trees, blue skies, historical castles and villas; the pallet of gorgeous colours and backdrops is infinite. All of this gives me a great feel of creativity and composition and allows me to offer a unique style of wedding reportage, but most importantly I enjoy working with my clients and have fun creating amazing images documenting the day as a story that can be looked back on for years to come.

After meeting Sonja in her flowershop while writing a city guide for a Dutch publisher, the Trouwen in Toscane team was soon complete. In the meanwhile i have organized over 150 weddings and my passion for this wonderful job is only growing. Meeting couples from all over the world and being part of their wedding day / weekend is just amazing and i feel really lucky and thankful i can be part of this.

WEDDING PLANNING AND DESIGN
Together with our team of experts we will recreate a wedding from start to finish. During 4 intense and fun days we will touch base on all aspects of planning and designing a destination wedding.
What are the most important aspects of the wedding weekend. How to have it organised meticulously and letting it flow naturally.
We will be highlighting the importance of team work, empathy, passion and creativity. During the workshop, theory and practice will alternate each other, giving you solid foundations for starting or growing your own business in the magical world of the destination wedding industry.

PHOTOGRAPHY
With this workshop we want you to experience what it’s like to be a photographer on a wedding in Tuscany. During these 4 days we will recreate a destination wedding in a beautiful Castle in the heart of Tuscany. We will cover all aspects of a wedding such as: detail shots, bouquets, ceremony, couples shoot, dinner table etc. Of course you will also have lots of fun enjoying authentic Italian food and brainstorming about business experiences and ideas.
This course is for beginners as well as professionals. You can learn new things, be inspired, share your experience with the others, boost your portfolio with beautiful photos and have fun under the Tuscan sun. This is not a technical workshop but if, at any moment during these days, you have some technical questions I will be happy to help you.

Destination Wedding Workshop Facts
LOCATION
We will inspire, work & shoot in and around a beautiful Tuscan Castle. Here the courtyard, the side terras, the ancient tree , the romantic chapel and pool, the vinyards and the olive groves will be the perfect backdrop for this wonderful workshop.

You will check in on the 6th of October in the afternoon and will check out after brunch on the 9th of October

Above mentioned prices include VAT, 3 nights in a shared double room, yoga mats, food and non alcoholic beverages.
Single rooms are available with a supplement of €255
A € 750 retainer will be necessary to obtain your spot. The retainer is not refundable. Spots are limited. We advise you to take a travel cancellation insurance.
FAQ
Is the bootcamp in English? Yes it is, but we speak Italian and some of us are Dutch so we can help out if you are not fluent in English.
Do you need to have a lot of experience or be professionally involved in the wedding industry? This course is for beginners as well as professionals, you can use this experience to learn new techniques or come to recharge yourself with new ideas and leave with beautiful photos for your portfolio.
What if it is raining? The workshop will continue no matter what the weather circumstances are. We have a great location with many inside options where we can create magic.
What do I need to bring to the workshop? Besides your good spirit, please check the page for the workshop of your interest for a detailed list.
What is the address of the location? All details about this one of a kind location in the heart of Tuscany will be given after booking confirmation
Do we have separate bedrooms? Included in the price is a bed in a double shared room. You can book your private room for an extra charge.
Can I choose who I am with in the room? Yes if you book together with a friend we can put you together. Otherwise it will be up to our discretion.
I have allergies. Is that a problem? Please let us know what your dietary restrictions are and our kitchen staff will make sure you are well cared for.
Is the transfer included? We arrange a transfer (from and to the airport) that is timed with the flights we suggest. If you book these flights we can assure the transfer. We can arrange a taxi if the time does not fit your flight schedule, but these costs are not included in the package.
Is the workshop business deductible? Yes, of course. Your business needs to be registered in the EU database.
Do I need travel insurance? Yes we recommend you do.
Will I get my money back if the workshop cannot continue due to covid travel restrictions? - In case travel restrictions are applied to your country of residence at the time of the workshop and you are therefore inhibited from joining our workshop, you will receive a voucher for another wedding workshop to the full amount paid and valid for 1 year. This voucher is transferable to a friend.
If I have covid and I can no longer go to the workshop, will I get my ticket money back? No, there will be no refund if you are fallen ill or cannot attend for other personal reasons. We recommend you take travel insurance that covers all possible inconveniences.
Can I cancel my spot? As we have limited spots, cancellation for any reason results in loss of all money paid. You can try to find someone else that will fulfil your seat.
Can I pay in instalments? There are 2 payments: One retainer of €750 at the moment of booking and a final payment 30 days prior to the workshop date.
